Hi there

Alright, I know it's been a while.  Here I am back with more exciting news for us!  By March we will be coming out with our 16oz bottles.  They have been designed, appropriately colored, spaced, and approved for printing.  Instead of going with a paper label, we decided to go with a screen print like the larger bottle.  Each flavor will be printed on the bottle and color categorized.  We went with this option because well, it turned out to be the best economical, and least labor intensive.  You see, there are still just two of us.  Another apprentice has come and gone.  The problem there is the lack of big business.  That, and his wife got a job out of state.  So we do have a new bottle washer which is great as I was doing that for a while and frankly I hate the job.  Sure it's great for when I have four hours to spare and a hunger for suds and sanitizer.  However, that doesn't happen all that much.

Business has definitely cranked up however and we went from 3-4 brew containers a week to 8 in the span of two weeks.  We also had a creative time figuring out proper heating tempuratures in our certified basement kitchen that can get awfully cold.  Just yesterday we basically destroyed the place and put it back together again.  It was our major work day and so there was brewing to be done, (double what we usually do) bottling, rearranging, sealing and preparation for Thursday deliveries, inventory, pick-ups and cleaning.  Whew!  It was a very productive day.  We have lowered the price and increased tastings.  Spreading the word is important.  Some days are all Kombucha.  You what though, I would have to say that's a pretty cool thing.   We're doing it.

I love hearing from the customer as well.  My goodness, one night I was out enjoying some great local music at the High Noon Saloon here in Madison and a woman came up and was super excited to see my friend I was with.  Then she turned to meet me and began exclaiming her love of our Kombucha.  " YOUR one of the Kombucha Ladies!  I LOVE your stuff!  Oh my gosh you need to meet my friend!"  she grabs a dude nearby..."THIS is one of the Kombucha ladies!"  "wow! It's really you!"  I didn't even know how to react.  I felt like a celeb!  It was cool.  Then I started playing pool with someone else, and he was thanking me for Kombucha and telling me how he had a half gal in his back pack right there.  Sweet.  It's happening.  I get to talk to people who love it and they know it's our stuff.  Very cool.  Thanks guys!!!

Aloha

Sounds like you two are getting good business, keep it up!
